Help patients to cope with their condition; working on awareness
The patient is at the centre of everything we do. We offer healthcare services that go beyond the delivery of healthcare products alone. We organise health screening programs (such as blood sugar level and COPD-tests), education and self-management programmes, and provide information on safety and the effective use of medication and medical devices via websites and patient magazines. It is our ambition to actively improve patients’ health or help them cope better with chronic or incidental illnesses. We also provide training on the correct use of the products and the condition concerned to professionals to help them better serve their patients.
Exceeding customers expectations
We want to know what customers think of the way we do our work and whether we meet their expectations. For this reason, our business units perform regular customer satisfaction surveys. Also, we have customer complaint procedures in place for customers to report their concerns.
Quality
As orchestrator of the supply chain, we feel responsible for the supply of safe products to the market. The measures we take regarding quality and safety are:
• Compliance with laws and regulations
• Internal guidelines and external certification schemes
• Evaluation of suppliers to ensure quality and prevent counterfeiting
In April 2012 we have updated our Mediq Code of Conduct for Suppliers. We expect our suppliers to adhere to this code.

In several countries, we offer e-learning and workshops to health professionals in areas such as anatomy, wound care and critical care, so that they can better serve their patients.
