We serve patients through three distribution channels:
Direct
Specialistic medical devices and pharmaceuticals direct to people's homes, through mail order or through home care.
Institutional
Medical devices and pharmaceuticals for professional customers, such as hospitals and nursing homes.
Pharmacies
Mediq Pharmacy supplies patients through our own pharmacies and the pharmacies and dispensing GPs served by Mediq’s wholesaling business. As well as supplying prescription pharmaceuticals, we sell over-the-counter healthcare products.
Mediq has operations in the Netherlands, Poland, the United States, Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Hungary, Switzerland, Belgium, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and employs about 8,300 people.
Mediq was incorporated in 1899 as Onderlinge Pharmaceutische Groothandel (OPG). In 2009 the name OPG changed to Mediq. Mediq is listed on NYSE Euronext Amsterdam. Mediq's shares are included in the Amsterdam Mid Cap Index.
