Gerben Klein Nulent (1955) graduated from the University of Utrecht in 1979 with a degree in pharmacy.
He set up business as an independent pharmacist in Rotterdam in 1981. In 1995 he joined Mediveen Group, Mediq's chain of pharmacies, as director. With effect from 1 August 2005, Gerben Klein Nulent was appointed executive vice-president of Mediq, with responsibility for Pharmacy Netherlands. This encompasses all activities in the Netherlands for providing supplies to end users via the pharmacy channel, such as the pharmacy chain and the wholesale activities. Per 1 August 2009 Gerben is also responsible for Pharmacies International.
He is also chairman of the Association of Pharmacy Chains [Associatie van Ketenapotheken – ASKA], which was formed in early 2005.
Gerben is married and has four children.
